Steven Andrew Toff

Steven has spent his career advocating for the rights of working people. For more than two decades, he has worked in the labor movement, as a union organizer, campaign director, union representative, and attorney.

In his law practice, Steven continues to work with labor union clients as well as individuals facing employment issues ranging from discrimination to wage theft, to negotiating and reviewing severance and separation agreements.

Steven has also brought his expertise to the City University of New York, developing and teaching a course in their School of Labor & Urban Studies. He has also taught seminars at Northeastern University and the State University of Campinas (Brazil). Steven has published and collaborated on a host of projects addressing topics that include Workplace Organizing Strategies, Workers' Rights and Global Governance, Supply Chains, and more. Most recently, Steven worked for the European Organizing Center in Amsterdam - a project of the US based Strategic Organizing Center. He has also worked for the New York State Nurses Association, the AFL-CIO, and other unions and political organizations. He holds advanced degrees in Labor Studies, Economics, and Law, and has lived and worked in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, and the Netherlands.

He speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and a little Dutch and German on good days.
